The ‘Peering into the Future’ forum will highlight the impact and importance of consumer and carer lived experience in improving service delivery to people with Mental Health (MH) and Alcohol & Other Drug (AOD) issues.

This forum, aimed at MH and AOD workers, will honour and explore the essential work of consumers and carers.

Advocates, consultants and peer workers among others – all with lived experience themselves ‐ will represent the many different facets of consumer and carer service improvement.

There will also be information stalls and resources, with networking opportunities throughout the day.

Workshops include:

The Eastern Dual Diagnosis Consumer and Carer Advisory Council (DDCCAC) will present a workshop of the key roles we have in delivering a group-discussion program using our lived experience, and describe the great collaboration with treatment services through our shared decision making process we call the ‘in-tandem model’
